Your files stay with you
The converter processes file contents in your browser. Formatly does not upload or store those files. Downloads remain on your device until you remove them. Closing the tab releases its working data, subject to browser behavior.
Usage and technical data
On the first page visit, Formatly sets signed, first-party browser and session cookies for essential access protection. The server records HMAC-derived browser, account and network identifiers, first/last visit times, and the first and latest protected network identifiers. The Formatly database does not store raw IP addresses, browser fingerprints, hardware identifiers or file contents. Hosting infrastructure separately receives IP addresses and request information. These protected identifiers may still be personal data.
Completed conversions are checked across the signed-in account, network and browser identity. A free account and browser can have one active Formatly session. Session locks expire after 30 minutes without activity; ending or replacing a session revokes it on the server. Multiple tabs in one browser share a session. Ready trial guards prevent repeat claims from another account on the same network or browser during the seven-day correction period.
Browser and session cookies last up to 30 days. Browser records are removed after 30 days without activity; session history is removed 30 days after its idle expiry. Conversion receipts and rolling network usage expire after 24 hours; Ready network/browser guards expire with the correction period. Cleanup runs in bounded batches during later API traffic, so deletion may be delayed while the site is idle or a backlog remains. The account-bound Ready trial record remains to prevent repeat trials. Hosting logs, backups and authentication data have separate retention controls that must be finalized before public launch.
Currency display
Hosting country information may suggest a display currency. You can override it. The server requests public exchange rates without sending your IP address or file contents to the rate provider. Non-USD prices are estimates, not checkout quotes.
Purpose and disclosures
Technical processing supports delivery, security and usage limits. Formatly does not add advertising trackers or sell converter data. Hosting and infrastructure providers process technical requests. Files are not sent to a payment provider, and payments are not currently collected.
Rights and international processing
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent where relied upon, or complain to a regulator. Formatly operates from India. For beta privacy requests, contact Formatly at g43227617@gmail.com. Applicable legal bases, registered operator details, provider locations and transfer safeguards remain under review. This beta does not assert compliance in every country.

Human verification
When Formatly Check is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile verifies each conversion request. Cloudflare receives browser and network information, including your IP address, to assess automated traffic. Your file contents are not sent to Cloudflare for this check. Formatly validates the response on its server and stores a short-lived, single-use verification grant associated with a pseudonymous network identifier.
Formatly Ready
Ready processes images, PDF documents and prepared packs locally in your browser. Files and previews are not stored in your account. Up to 12 named applications can be saved in this browser’s local storage when you choose Save these settings; they contain settings and the application name you enter, not the selected files. You can delete saved applications on the Ready page. Settings may be kept temporarily in session storage to restore them after sign-in; files are not saved with them. Avoid putting sensitive details in that name. Clear site data in your browser to remove saved recipes.
To administer the Ready trial, the server stores an HMAC-derived account identifier, a random pack identifier, the first preparation time and the correction-window expiry. This record is retained after the window ends to prevent another trial being claimed. Email addresses and document contents are not stored in this trial table. Provider authentication records, logs and backups have separate controls. Trial data retention and deletion procedures must be finalized before public launch.
Verification and pack-access checks use network requests. A checklist downloaded with a pack contains filenames and the requirements you entered; handle that download like your other application documents.
Optional usage counts and feedback
On the Ready page you may allow optional usage counts. They are off until you opt in, and you can turn them off on that page. We record daily totals for fixed events such as file selection, successful checks, preparation and download clicks. These totals include repeat actions and are not unique-person counts. Filenames, file contents, application labels and account IDs are not included in the event records. A pseudonymous network identifier is used separately to limit excessive requests.
If you choose to send feedback on the converter or Ready page, we record your selected answer or problem category in the same daily totals. Sending feedback does not enable usage measurement. We do not collect free-text comments through this form. Totals older than 90 days are deleted during subsequent event traffic; deletion may be delayed while the service is idle. Hosting-provider logs and backups have separate controls.
