Which file types can I use?
Convert accepts PDF, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP. Ready accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP photos or signatures, plus PDF documents. Animated images use the first frame.
What if my form asks for a smaller photo?
Open Ready, choose Photo and enter the maximum size in KB. Only enter a width and height if your form asks for them. Review the final JPG before uploading it.
Can I choose PDF pages or change their order?
In Convert, preview a PDF and enter pages such as 1, 3–5. Use the file arrows to reorder a merge. Ready lets you reorder PDF documents before combining them.
Why won’t my file convert?
Try fewer files, fewer PDF pages or lower quality. Convert accepts up to 20 files, 50 MB each and 100 MB total; Ready accepts up to 10 files with the same size limits. Images must be under 16 megapixels.
Office documents, HEIC and video are not supported. PDF text extraction works with selectable text; scanned pages need OCR, which is not included.
Will Ready submit my application?
You review and upload the files yourself. Ready checks the sizes you enter; your application website decides whether to accept them.
What should I know about a smaller PDF copy?
Ready can try rebuilding up to 30 PDF pages as images. This may remove searchable text, links, form fields and digital signatures. Keep your original and review readability.
What do you need to do?
Free access, without surprises
Sign in with ChatGPT before selecting files in Convert or Ready. Convert includes up to 2 completed batches in a rolling 24 hours. One completed batch counts once even when it produces several files; another conversion with changed settings uses another slot. Failed processing does not use a slot. Downloading an already prepared result again in the same tab does not use another slot.
Limits apply to your account, device and shared network, so other use on the same network may affect availability. Settings shows usage and the next available time. Ready has separate trial download rules shown on its page. Paid plans are not available yet.
Having trouble signing in?
Open Formatly directly in your browser and allow essential cookies. If the return page fails, reopen the converter and check your session in Settings. Avoid signing in from an embedded browser.
Finding your download
Use Download beside a result. If a PDF opens in a viewer, use that viewer’s save control. Open file provides another way to view and save it. On supported phones, Save / share opens the system menu. Multiple outputs also have a ZIP download; extract it in your device’s file manager. Keep this tab open until you have saved your files.
Account data and file contents
Sign-in and access checks use the network and account/session metadata. Conversion processes file contents in this browser. Read the separate account, usage and file-data details. Always inspect the final output before submitting it.
